Anyone interested in a little work?
I found a good condition Lanos 5speed with a broken timing belt.
Also found a running Lanos engine.
Buy both, install the engine & have a very inexpensive extra Woo!!

The engine has 74,000 miles. It would be a good idea to change the timing belt while the engine was still out.
The car is located in NJ and the engine is in FL.

Auburndale isn't too far away from me, but there is for sure a surplus of Daewoo parts throughout Florida. I always see engines and cars for sale around here, I have a "contact" who owns a salvage shop who has a lot of Daewoo parts. I know he has a Leganza and Lanos engine, but I'm not sure if he has a Nubira. Parts are basically you "pick the price". "How much is a new engine?" "$5000" "I'll give you this one for $2000". If I say it is $3000, I could be walking out with a $1200 engine, but I like the guy and don't like to cheat him.
Its unfortunate that I don't have the time, money, knowledge, or tools to do a swap, or else I'd do one in a heartbeat. I have a mechanic friend who is awesome with engines (swaps) and he'll do it for cheap, but he is a scare for wiring, and I don't trust "unknown" electricians with my car.
Good price for both Ebay items though. It is unfortunate they are so far apart.

tell me about it. i would buy another daewoo at those good prices in a heart beat if they were even about 500 miles from me.Anyone ever notice that when you find a great car deal on EBAY, it is ALWAYS, without excption, on the other side of the country. Its NEVER just right by you.
