nop, real life.
Lanos- 18 to 19
Nubira - 17 to 17.2 (I make 17.2 stock manual when I was learning how to drive)
Leganza- 17 to 18.
Before every one whit a lanos star to scream, the lanos is 1.6l and the wieght of the car is near like the nubira, if Im not wrong.
Whe have a race park near my home, so there we check, when I was on the Daewoo club here.
The faster lanos with some performance mods make like 17.1 or some thing like that. The only lanos below that was a lanos turbo.
I'm sure that the nubira can make 16 hights.

Okay, first the Nubira actually weighs 240lbs more than a Lanos.mocpac_ser wrote:nop, real life.

Second, I checked (and those are "real life" tests) that those tests were performed on a MT Lanos, AT Leganza, and AT Nubira.
So, stock MT Lanos vs. MT Nubira would be pretty close in the low 17's
There's no way a lanos does 18-19 sec 1/4 mile...

Maybe my speedo is off, but I think my car gets to 60 MPH darn quick for a 1.6. Not to say it is a speed demon, but I would say low 9s. About the quarter mile, there is no way a Lanos does 18s or up in the quarter mile unless the driver is shifting it bad. My guess would be about high 16 - low 17 area. I'll have to measure out a quarter mile and see just how fast I can do it. The Lanos is fairly weak off the line, but it makes up for it from like 30 MPH to 70 MPH.
Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I got one of the "peppy" Lanoses.
Maybe I don't know what I am talking about.

I dont want to start a fight. I have a nubira (mt) and I make 17.2 a lady before I was in the club make 17.0 with her nubira (at). I don't cry for that. I know I can do it better but that was my first time on the track and that is. Because she have a automatic transmition she just have to press the pedal and brumm that waht a AT nubira do.
The 2 fastest lanos on the club, one was "Franks Daewoo PR #1" (he was a member here long time ago) lanos, make 17.?? but he was a daewoo mecanic, so he make some mods on his lanos (he was the one who put the thottle of the nubra in the lanos), the second fastest lanos was another member of the club, I cant remember his name now. He put header, intake, wires, the ecu of the 1.5 on his 1.6, full pipe exhaus and dont know what more. He make 17.3 or 17.2 No stock lanos can make those times.
-One guy tell him one time that he make 16.5. My friend ask him again, how many time? And the guy tell him, but just one time now I make 17.?? the same time that my friend did.
If you want to try go to a ? track and try a stock lanos, is the only way.
The day that I went on the track we bring 4 cars. *my friend eclipse (talon) turbo, *civic coupe DE, Protege 5, and my nubira 99. I get the segin best time because the protege get 17.1???? the the eclipse make 17.1??? a little more than the protege (the eclipse was MT and have many probles, because of that he dont get a better time). The civic make 17.3.

mocpac_ser: I don't want to start a fight either.... but are you sure those Lanos' were not 1.5L? Also, those numbers that I put up were not made up, msn is a very reliable source. I can easily see how a stock MT Lanos 1.6L can do 17.46sec 1/4 mile.
Then you add headers/exhaust/intake/chip/short shifter/suspension upgrades and you have a good low 16's Lanos.

I'm gonna have to go to the track aren't I...
Or I'll just go down Haynes Bayshore (deserted road) at Midnight Saturday night and see what I pull.
I know that no one is trying to start a fight, neither am I , but there has always been a debate as to what times our cars get.
I guess I can try 0-60 down a few streets around my house and I'll average what I get. Don't worry, I'll make sure that no one is around to hurt or to hurt me... and no cops either.
My personal guess for my Lanos is 9.5- 10.5 to 60 MPH and anywhere from 17.0-19.0 in the quarter mile from what you guys said. I'll post numbers as my experiment goes along.
