i have been seeing carbon fiber hoods for the aveo on ebay like crazy
any know any good or bad things????
i am asking casue they are dirt cheap compared to other carbon fiber hoods
ebay hood?

Ya.... I noticed the cheap prices..... $150 for some of them..... I have to wonder about this.... there is no way they can even pay for the material for that much money.
Hmmm..... well..... I guess if it's an "off grade" which has some blemishes in the hood then I could see them getting rid of it cheap.
The price should be more like $350 to $500 depending on whether it's single sided or double sided carbon fibre.
Lots of companys make a fibreglass hood and add a very thin sheet of carbon fibre to the top to make it look good.
These hoods will be way heavier than the real carbon fibre hoods.
So if you looking for a weight reduction spend the extra couple hundred and get a full carbon fibre hood...... if you just want looks go with the fibreglass carbon fibre hybrids.
Strengthwise there isn't much difference...... they use more fibreglass to get the strength (which is why it's heavier) so no matter which type you get they should be decent strength wise.
