Well, I don't know weather you have or have not noticed that I am not posting very much lately.

A round mid December, I hurt my lower back, but didn't think anything of it as I have hurt my back before and it has gotten better within two or three weeks.

Well, this time it was different. It did not get better. It has gotten a LOT worse.
I am in severe pain from my lower back and all the way down my right leg and am losing the feeling in my right foot.
The doctor has me on extra strength vicodin, muscle relaxers and antiinflammetory pills. Yet my back isn't getting any better.

I have been out of work for 3 weeks now and had to get xrays and an MRI this past week.

It looks as though I have a ruptured disk in my lower spinal column.
Tomorrow I am going back to the doctor to review the results of the MRI.
At that time, we will discuss getting surgery on my back.

I really want this to stop hurting, as I can harly walk, and anything I do, including trying to lay down in bed, hurts so badly I can not put words to describe it.

I'll find out tomorrow if I am going to have surgery and possibly a replacement disk in my back.

Until I am feeling better, I won't be doing anything with my cars, or anything else for that matter.

Wish my luck!

Thanks to everyone for the kind replies :)

mocpac_ser ... I agree! LOL ... I'll make sure to ask for an over sized, cross-drilled and slotted disk!

One of my friends just sold me his old laptop computer with a wireless network card in it fort $60 !!! :)
He said that now I can get on line and not even have to get out of bed.

It is an old computer, but it can do everything I need for now.

Pentium 233MHz, 64meg of RAM, 8x DVD drive, 802.11b wireless network card, Windows 98SE, The newest Firefox web browser, mIRC and Gaim instant messenger for Yahoo, ICQ, MSN and AIM.

I will let you know what the doctor says after I get back home tomorrow.

Again, thanks to everyone for their concern and well wishes. :)

Well guys .... I am scheduled for surgery on Wed morning. :)

I have a herniated disk that is buldging into the spinal cavity and pressing against my spinal cord.

They are going to make a 1" cut in my lower back and use a scope thing to go in and cut out the enlarged part of the disk.

I have about 10 days of recovery time at home after that.
The doctor will decide if I am well enough to go back to work after that.
This means I am off work until March 3rd ... I will have had more than a month with out going to work ... and still getting paid!!! :)

LOL
