welcome to the forum dude. like the lanos. gotta a quick question though. what up with the "hurricane"? i've seen people calling them that on cardomain before and i never quite go it.
The hurricane comes from the Dealership here in iceland.... the delership changed the car?s .. big spoilers and body kit, tinted windows and bigger rimes and they called them "Hurricane" ... but i have the body kit and the spoiler in my storage...
this is what my should looklike whit my hurricane MSdesign bodykitt
this is not a big country :P and moast of the lanos here has this bodykit.... but some day i will put i on.. i only have the side and back.. the front kitt is broken.. i got to buy new one.. i?m going to paint it and change it a little bit.. so it will not look like the othere kit?s
(Sorry if my english is bad.. my languge is icelandic )
Yeah i understand what you mean... I dont like alot of the stuff you can get as options on a car cuz almost everyone goes with them and i rather save up for something mroe unique

Doesn't mean much.... it's not variable valve timing.
The 1.6L has a variable intake runner.... so at low speed it uses a longer intake path to give better low end torque and at higher speeds a solinoid kicks in and shortens the intake to make more horsepower at high RPM.
Variable intake geometry is found in a number of cars but this is one of the few times I've seen it used in an inexpensive car like the Lanos.
Most of the time it's found in sports cars and expensive luxury cars.
It makes for better power and fuel economy but I doubt that much "real" power can be made by modifying the solinoid actuation circuit so that it opens at a different RPM.
That body kit is from Italy by a company called Orciari. I have those side skirts. They are fairly cheap and you can get them on ebay. Nice lookin' lanos btw.
