I was planning on getting Yokohama AVID T4's for my dad's Civic. Mainly because it is the cheapest "Ultra-High Performance" tire with a name I have actually heard of before.
I have Kumhos on the Daewoo, and I would have gotten them for the Honda but they didn't have the ones I wanted in 185/70R14.
Anyone have anything bad or good to say about Yokohamas in general?
Planning on Yokohamas...

one of my friends got Yokohama 175/70/13 on his Mitsubishi Lancer... they were pretty good... it is a well known Japanees name and i can confidantly say they are good.

I personally like the Toyo Proxes T1-S.
Check around the Car Domain site... I'm sure you will notice that there are lots of guys out there with these tires.... or check your sport compact magazines.
I found the prices to be fairly decent compared to other comparable tires.

LoL...I like them, but they don't come in my size....
I went with the Yokohamas. Decent looking tread and eerily quiet. Was rush hour traffic so we didn't get a chance to really test them out but the noise factor was a world better than the POS Dunlops that come stock on Honduhs.
Will never buy Dunlops again. Screwed me over on my Lanos, and felt like plastic Tonka truck tires on the Honda, in highway speeds, roared like Godzilla, couldn't keep a normal conversation.

Well, if it ever snows in South Florida I'll kick myself for getting the Kumhos, but for now, they are probablly the best tires I have owned.
Still haven't had a chance to really test the Yokos, as we are hosting a big Christmas party tonight and I don't have a chance to go onto the backroads tonight. Maybe tomorrow will be the charm...Merry Christmas.

go to www.tirerack.com or maybe it's tires.com and check out the review and price of the BFG Traction TA. That's what I'm getting to replace my cheapo front two tires on my Woo. (185/60/14)
They have great traction ratings for the price.
