racing seats or redo back seats

just wanted to get your opinion on what you guys think would be better

swap in 2 racing seats in the back and build a custom center consol

or

recover the stock back seats with vinyl??

whoa, i havnt seen anyone put racings seats in the back like that. I think that'd be cooler but probably expensive.

How much does it cost to HAVE the back seats done in vinyl

i reckon keep the old back seat, but get it re bolstered so it looks kinda like 2 buckets, get what i mean??

yeah i was thinkin about putting racing seats in the back too. but that is a future goal of mine way in the future. i was thinkin about putting like a kicker solo 10" or 12" to put between it so that then you wouldn't have to give up too much trunk space. and even put one on the back side so you have something to look at when its time for show.

first i have to buy another set of racing seats for the front seats since my first set was stolen. been thinkin about four racing seats for the past year now. just lack of funds.

I've seen a Lanos at a show with 4 racing seats.

The problem is they sit too high, you need to get some low back seats for it to even remotely look ok.

I too have thought about doing this with a custom center console.

What I was thinking about for my Lanos, that may be decent for yours if it is well done is cut the center portion out of the stock back seats and put a center console in there. Then, cover them in vinyl. That way you keep stock height, seat belt mounting locations, and still get the look of bucket seats. IDK, maybe not your thing, but if done correctly it could look pretty good and be considerably cheaper than fitting all of the racing seats in your back seat. If you join the front console and the back console, it would look kinda like the inside of the new Mazda RX-8.

Maybe I just have no creative talents...

that sounds kinda cool... i dont know if its all that possible because how the seats are made but hell.. i might play with that idea.. i could even have them shaped like racing seats

I think this would be a good idea. It looks good in the Aveo Xtreme, and I dont see a reason why I shouldn't look good in a Lanos.

What kind of seats did you have in mind?
