That's a cool game but the only thing I'm good at is driving in reverse and hiting every car about 12 times.

I did the entire course in reverse in 6 minutes and 38 seconds.... beat that!!!

I suck at this game but it's fun anyway

Hmmm..... I have a way easier time doing this game at work on my Pentium III 600 than I do on my AMD XP 2800 system at home.

The one at work is easy to control since the car moves fairly slow..... but at home it's lightening fast and I can't input movements fast enough to keep up with the car.

At home I can't get under 2 minutes and I'm allways out of control.... where as at work I ran 1:43 on my very first run and was in control for most of the course ( only played it once )

Hmmm.... I should break out my AMD K6 II 333... it would be really slow and make it super easy to get good times.

I'm running here at work on my slow computer and I still can't seem to break into the 1:30's..... lots of 1:40 to 1:50 but nothing decent.

I allways seem to screw up one turn.... the one right after the start gate.... I turn into it fairly early and it's a clean corner but I allways seem to loose momentum and the stupid red cars allways seem to do it faster.

This game is getting addictive but I can't play it at home....it's just way too fast to keep up.... I can't imagine what it will be like when I pick up my AMD 64 bit processor!!!

Oh man..... what the hell.... this is strange....

I have an AMD XP 2800+ ( Barton ) and for the heck of it I tried to run it at a lower speed to see if this game was easier.

Needless to say even running at 1100 Mhz it was still pretty fast.... unlike my Pentium III 600 at work.

Now here is the wierd thing... normally my memory speed is set at 166Mhz and I have DDR400 capability with PC3200 ram.

So when I was changing the speed back I thought to myself.... why isn't the memory speed at 200MHz.... it's rated for it.

So I changed it and left the CPU speed on "automatic" multiplier.

So next thing I restart and wham.... my processor is comming up as a 3200+ instead of a 2800+ and everything is working great.

Given the automatic multiplier is still working perfectly I have to wonder if perhaps they gave me a 3200 instead of a 2800 because it's working perfect and the CPU temperature is exactly the same as it was at the lower speed.

Needless to say everything fires up way faster..... hmmm.... this is strange.... to think I've had this computer all this time and never fooled with the speed settings.

I would think that if I was overclocking it the CPU would heat up.... but I have my Volcano 7 running at really low speed ( 1900 RPM ) so that I can barely hear it.

Hmmm.... I wonder how high this chip will go before giving me problems.

I guess if I'm not posting for a while that means I damaged something.... which means I will have an excuse to pick up an AMD 64 bit chip on a 939 socket motherboard.
