Newbie to Daewoo Engine mods
Ok i own a 2004 Aveo and i have recently been noticing that the Lanos has the same Engine/Setup in the Engine bay! is there any bolt on performance mods that are for the Lanos that would fit the Aveo???

they are a very close resemblance.... however i believe the Throttle body and the VGIS (Variable Geometric Intake System) are smaller on the aveo... you could probably swap those over from a used lanos cheap. Until some companies start picking up the pace with aveo and rebadged daewoo parts alot of stuff can be custom made. If you have a machine shop locally you can prolly get a custom exhaust made for a bout the price of an aftermarket one.... Weapon-R i believe is one of Few brands pushing the lanos intake. I know Eibach does lowering springs and KYB does the shocks.
As of late the Korean aftermarket company Intimidator has slowly lost contact with us. They did offer a wide variety of parts. Now you can Wait as 360dynamics (GsiTurbo) and i believe Efrain A. are building parts for as many of the daewoo vehicles.
Your best option is to just do a search for Lanos on this site.

If you are interested in the intake manifold, I will have an extra in a couple of months, once I install my ported intake manifold. It does need a throttle body though to work. I can pick up a throttle body and sell the entire intake manifold and throttle body for about $70 or so depending on the price of throttle body.
I could even port it for a little more, I would need enough to cover the gaskets (2 intake mani and 1 throttle body), the porting bits and a little of my time. Maybe $125 or so.
Let me know if you or anyone else is interested.

Hey whattup. I've been reading the boards off and on and to be honest, the only good info I have seen is the post about the lightweight crank pulley. Most everything else is the same intake/exhaust/header question.
I don't know if you know the story but I'll repeat it just in case.
Bought the woo as a second car so I could more heavily modify my Impreza. 3 months after buying it, I move back to Portland and get the Woo from my mom who has had it the first 3 months. Did some basic intake exhaust mods, autoXed it a few times even started building a turbo kit for it. Well, my moms car broke down so I let her drive the Woo for a bit. It's been about two years now and I'm finally getting it back when I go to Portland on the 11th of December.
I'm not going turbo because I want to focus on the Subaru more and run time trials until I can get a cage in it. I have an intake manifold that I'm porting but that's probably where I'll stop. I want the woo to take cheap 87 octane and get over 40mpg. I would like an 8 second range 0-60 time but without porting the head, don't think I can get there. The only other mod it will get is the race cat reinstalled in a way that does NOT show a CEL.
