Free stuff!! Seriously, no catches and I'm not spamming!
http://www.freecycle.org
It is in almost every city of the US and Canada.
No BS. Get just about everything free ... but it is usually used stuff.
Furniture, electronics, lumber, clothes (hell, use them to wax your car), baby supplies .. I have even seen free, running cars on there!
Think of it this way:
Someone buys a new, bigger TV, but their old one is too good to just throw away. What do they do?
Post it on here for someone to make arrangements to come pick up.
Got new couches and the old ones are too good to throw away?
Have someone that wants them come pick them up or arrnage a meeting place.
Be warned, this mailing list can get LOTS of messages pretty fast. I opened a new Yahoo account just for it. I am signed up for 3 areas and am seeing around 200 emails a day.
It is a good idea to get emailed pics of the items before you go get them. Arrange it all with the ppl who are giving stuff away.
Hey! Its a good way to get rid of the junk in your garage, too.
I gave away a claranet yesterday, I'm picking up a nice walnut coffee table tomorrow and Friday, I am picking up a Linksys 4 port router!
I just requested that I want a Dogloo dog house, too.
The way I see it, you just can't go wrong with free.
Even if you just pick stuff to resell on ebay. Hey ... that could be free, extra money you didn't have before.

I tried it out in my area(signed up last night). I am already in the mix! I am going to pick up a whole lot of Bath and Body works stuff from a lady across town. She said everything is new she got it as a gift, but she is allergic to most of it. So I will go pick it up and give it to my wife.
Thanks Cliff.

Gotta love free stuff!!
I picked up four of these table lamps, 2 of them still in their unopened boxes and two had been opened and packed back in the box.
The husband bought them while the house was being built, and when it was time to use them, the wife saw them and didn't like them. It was too late to return them to the store because the waited too long.
Sheesh! They should have sold them to make up some of what was spent!!
