1.6 Transmission on a 2.0 Motor ? its fits ?
Hi i have a 2.0 nubira automatic and some one is selling a 1.6 lanos manual and i really wanna put my 2.0 on the lanos for a smaller car and more power can someone tell me if its posible thank u

You will need a new front engine mount, and a way to manually tension the drive belt

thanks my nubira 2.0 is automatic and its pretty good at launching cant imagine that engine on the small lanos well first ill buy tha lanos get the engine of and mount my 2.0 and start working if the tranny is fine it should be no prob but....im from puerto rico and its kind of hard finding pieces

just use the wiring and (maybe) computer from the 1.6 and it should be sweet
also, I'm pretty sure there are plenty of peeps in PR that can help, have you posted in the Espanol section of the forum?

use the 1.6 harness for sure but use the 2.0 Manual computer if you can find one. it's what I've done on mine. you have to relocate a couple plugs on the ECU but it's pretty easy. I tried a few computers, 1.6 manual, 2.0 automatic and 20. manual and the last one is the only one I got to run right. the legend is that a couple people on here have done the swap and kept the 1.6 computer though.

yeah I've heard that legend too... that's why I said (maybe) hahaha
