Re: turbo oil drain!!!
hhmmmm.... it would appear so. maybe they are trying to flow the oil backwards through the turbo. either way, not a good thing.
what is that from?
what is that from?
Re: turbo oil drain!!!
I think it's a forum mate, also mmamdouh said it's a turbo lanos from Poland, you will find more photos of this setup in my post "lanos 16v turbo manifold"
I think the oil pressure from feed line will push used oil out of oil drain to the sump! I think so.
As if I didn't rotate my td04l center, oil feed will be in block side, oil drain will be in fan side, water feed and drain will be in the bottom. Any way I'm going to rebuild my turbo before installation so I may rotete the center to direct drain to earth. But even it will be below the sump do you think it will do the same as above setup and oil will be forced to leave the turbo by the aid of feed pressure!
Confusing setup!!!

Re: turbo oil drain!!!
i think this is the feed not the drain... it is impossible to drain oil from the turbo when the pipe is pointing upwards
i remember the drain on the 2.0 nubira (when it was boosted) had just a little kink and the oil went past the seals and the car was puffing smoke from the exhaust

i don't think so everything saying it's a drain except the position!
