Dyno results for Intakes

Post by PrecisionBoost »

We are done our Dyno testing... and we are pleased with the results.

Both Prototypes made significant power gains over stock throughout most of the curve.

As well I've included a comparison between the two intakes which were fairly close in peak horsepower ( around 5400 RPM )

I still like Prototype#1 for the simple fact that it pulled much harder around 4500 RPM which made the car feel significantly faster.

You can see that at 4400RPM Prototype#1 makes nearly 8 horsepower more than Prototype #2.

Yes...the dyno night was a real interesting, real life comparison of the stock air system, vs 2 slightly different CAI.

Yet another graph....stock torque/hp (blue), vs prototype #1 (red)

The test was performed on otherwise completely stock vehicle, with no other modifications.

Pretty intresting...

I really like the powerband of the prototype #1...

It sounded very cool on the video...

Keep up the goodwork!

360Dynamics is planning to manufacture a cold air intake for the Daewoo line of cars.

The reason my Optra 5 was the first test subject is that I helped fabricated it here in my shop. ( I did the TIG welding)

I still plan on doing the turbo but I've allready told Tom (GsiTurbo) that I'm willing to test anything he wants to try out.

Good results :D I'm glad you guy's are doing this stuff, make for interesting reading!
Prototype #1 looks like it has the more 'usable' power curve.

Great results! :P Any details that can be given about the intakes
themselves, kind of curious what made the difference between the two.
Been lookin for an intake, so want a good one.
