fuel level problem
Hi i got a lanos SE, had a new fuel filler to tank pipe fitted because it was cracked, now we also found the fuel gauge not working properly, garage say it's a faulty sender unit but i need to find out if it has a fuel tank inspection plate? Does it have one? if so where is it? otherwise they say it's tank out at a cost of £140 labour unless there are other common problems that can give this reading.
Re: fuel level problem
Hi,
You can access the fuel pump/sender unit after having removed the rear seat. Just lift corners of rear seat. There are two service bulletins concerning defective fuel sender units: TSB-004-01 & TSB-005-01. I don't know if this was fixed for free.
