EGR Valve on 2002 Lanos 1.6, 16 valves

A few months ago, mechanic diagnosed EGR valve not working on my Lanos 1.6 2002. Since then I had much problems finding a new one. I even tried finding used one, but no luck also.
Since Lanos is basically an Astra MKIII, can EGR valve from one of opel models be used as a replacement?

if you search on here you will find several web sites where guys have purchases parts, including the EGR valve.

I have an extra EGR valve, can't say if it's good or not but It's worth a try considering they're like $100+ new.

I just want to figure out my Lanos problems to make sure I don't need to replace the EGR valve on my Lanos with my spare one.
