We have a Daewoo Nubria 2000, with the 20 engine. I love this wagon even though we have spent a butt load of cash keeping it on the road!
Which brings me here! A roller bearing went out and the motor bent all 16 valves! Got the head off and rebuilt and reinstalled ordered a t belt kit off e bay, got all the rollers bearings and the tensioner in place and now I can't get the T belt on!
I have tried, putting the bottom on first, putting the exhaust side on first, putting the edge ov er the cam gears (which doesn't work because that's the problem!
Also I looked at the timing belt DVD done by Autozone, they use an Isuzu Rodeo I think, it's a 4 cylinder that is my motor! I recognized just the whole layout it jsu uses a different roller arrangement because it's not FWD. Anyway he started the belt install from the bottom, worked his way up and the belt went on no muss no fuss! What am I missing?
Also on the video he made a lot of fuss about the water pump and marked and index point on it? I'm using ALLData.com it never said anything about indexing the water pump? I rotated it till it fell into place, the little tab thing is at about 11 o'clock, that seemed to me to be the only way it would fit?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
