Oil Pressure Sensor Location

2000 lanos , i need to change the oil pressure sensor, i keep getting the flickering oil light, at stops in traffic, oil level good, i have the sensor i just need to know where it it, i know its in the back of the engine, but tell me where, a picture will help, am i able to reach it from the top, or i have to be underneath,,,, thanks

The oil pressure switch is behind the distribution cover at crankshaft pulley level, right engine side.
A oil pressure loss can come from worn crankshaft bearing too.

Edit: forgot to mention that it is pointing rearward & accessible from underneath.

Great Info Thanks, will change it asap,,, i had a flickering light on a 2000 mitsubishi, same flickering light, changed the sensor and it never came back on again, hope its not worn bearings.......

or oil pump...

check your oil pressure before you spend any money on new sensors

i second Daniel's & Benzino's opinions... yet changing the pressure sending unit is the first step to take in such cases
