Fuel pump replacement help

Post by aero165 »

Hey guys,

My Fiancee has a 98 Lanos which now has a stuffed fuel pump.

We took it to the mechanics and they said it will cost over $500 to replace.

Can you get to the pump from the back seats? If so I'll be able to replace it no worries or do you need to pull the tank out?

Thanks,

Aaron

take off the rear seat and you will see the cover
it's just a drop in pump, it shouldn't be too hard to replace

Complete OEM fuel pump is (very) expensive.
Someone managed to replace the pump motor only for far less.
