I tell you my engine was an C20LZ but i'm not sure now...

the number on the block is not visible, but the engine is a 2 liters and have 9.2/1 compression ratio, with multi port fuel injection...

After a closer look, it look more like an C20NE but i'm not sure...

its an orginal 8v turbo?

if so then its a c20get,

the lz was TBI. and i think it was 8,8 comp

you should make a buildup thread in the performance forum.

The Lanos will be very competitive...

I made the 3rd best lap time this week end with my new springs set-up, i cut 6/10 of a second of my personal best lap, and now i just need to keep all the 4 wheels straight on the car (oh did i mention i hit the wall this weekend? ) but i have all the alignement data sheet (before the wall) and i will repair the car this week...

i made a 20.199 seconds lap and the best lap this weekend was 20.100sec

The track record in my class is 19.976sec..

It's only the begining, i have a lot more ajustements to experiment

Remember, my engine is straight from the scrapyard

I switched out the c20get for a 94 Pontiac Sunbird engine, to meet Nascar's Sport-Compacte Regulation.

I think there is some confusion, the C20GET was the 8V turbo he pulled out, the C20LZ came as TBI in the older Sunbirds but then they installed multi-port injection in the newer Sunbirds ( believe the multi-port version was 92-94 )

To my knowledge we did not receive the C20NE over here in Canada.
