So the upper hose on the radiator began leaking a little and so I decided to investigate that.
In removing the upper hose.. I found that the plastic flow tube, coming out the radiator, has become so brittle that it has literally crumbled...
The only thing that remains is a scant lip of maybe about 1/4"... that last 1/4' of plastic material don't seem to be breaking down ?
well... obviously 1/4" won't be enough to keep the hose secure.
I'll guess I will need to purchase a replacement radiator ?
Has anyone attempted a cheap trick fix ? (epoxy + plastic tube extension)
Maybe that couldn't hold... was just a method.
Are there other possibilities ?

that's what I would try before spending 300$ for a new rad if I can't find one at a breaker.epoxy + plastic tube extension
Thoroughly clean the parts in contact.
Use slow cure/ high temp epoxy glue.
Use metal tubing or high temp plastic. Should sustain up to 250°F.
First tube slided inside remaining lip.
Second tube over first and against lip.
Short third tube (sleeve) over lip joint.

i don't know about your local market but in here you can buy the plastic side of the radiator and replace it rather than replacing the whole radiator... it is much cheaper

Im not sure what the market is like in your area, but here in miami, fl you can buy a replacement radiator brand new for like 80 bucks. no need to go oem. you can probably get away with jb welding for a very short time span, but it will eventually break because the engine rocks back an forth under acceleration, pulling and applying force to the radiator neck. reason it breaks in the first place.

Re: Radiator problems '01 Nubira
aw'rite... please school me a little bit on 2001 Nubira radiators...
In looking for aftermarket type radiators... I have become confused as to how many different radiators the Nubira might utilize...
Well that or the people selling them don't know anything about what they're selling ?
So is there two different radiators used... dependent on transmission type ?
Meaning... the auto trans and manual trans radiators are different or are one and the same ?
does the 2.2 L Leganza radiator fit the 2.0 L Nubira ?
thanks if you can clear things up for me.

Re: Radiator problems '01 Nubira
Yes radiators are dependant on transmission types. Autos run the transmission fluid through the side tank which serves as the trans cooler. Manuals use none what so ever. you can use an auto rad on a manual car but not the other way around. in truth there are no aftermarket rads available for manual cars, rather the auto is stadard for both.
iirc only the lanos uses a different radiator all other daewoos are the same.
