Hi,
I would like to understand how "toe" is defined when only a single angle is given in our user/service manual?
This is to help in a french forum where someone has it's rear toe-in set by dealer at 0°20' (total) from a original setting at 0°10' (total) on his 2008 Nubira/Lacetti.

Hi Rodd1s, thank you for your link I remember. My English is basic and I'm probably done poorly understood.

So, if you had to align the rear wheels based on information (framed in red) of this handbook, would you set each wheel to have 0°12' angle relative to the centerline of the vehicle, or 0°12' between the two wheels (ie 0°6' relative to center line)?

according to the info on that page and what most people would believe, the toe in/out degree measurement is per wheel relative to the centreline/perpendicular if that makes sense. therefore, it is possible to have different toe settings on all wheels, which is what NASCAR use, seeing as they only have to turn left, and would make it impossible to work out an exact toe measurement if it were shared between wheels. make sense?

put simply... toe in or toe out is measured per wheel.
