hi there all after owning 3 daewoos and having 3 cambelts snap on me i decided enough was enough and a real engine was now time to be fitted after doing some digging around i found the vaux/opel legend c20xe was the best way and being in th uk they are fairly easy to pick up, now here goes engines in car and runs sweet lot better performance than before but i have a few probs (1) is my rev gauge does not work now i have seen posts about a green wire which i can find but on my wires behind dash its still the daewoo wiring and tried to connect green wire from there and it was abs i think nothing from rev gauge at all so was wondering if any 1 knows the colour of the rev gauge wire on a standard daewoo nexia oin the dashboard (2) fuel gauge not working but fuel warning light comes on when nearly empty (3) tempreature gauge only goes up on idle or when stuck in traffic same with heater nice and warm in traffic but get up to around 20/30 mph hearter goes nearly cold temp gauge drops it was running with the vaux temp sensor on daewoo radiator but that never moved on idle or anything so i went bk to original daewoo 1 and resulted in above problem i have now changed the thermostat and gasket and still same problem i hope you guys out there could please shed a bit of light on any of these problems.
Thanks Jon

Unfortunately I don't have Nexia diagrams or I would help you out with the wiring.
As far as the temperature, I would have guessed thermostat if it weren't for the fact that you've already replaced it.
When you removed the thermostat was there quite a bit of coolant coming out from the cylinder head side?
Have you checked the temperature of the various coolant hoses inside the engine bay to determine which ones are hot or warm ?

I was wondering if there was an air lock in the system, but lots of fluid coming out from the cylinder head seems to indicate that is not a problem.
If you take of the lid to the coolant reservoir can you see or hear coolant coming back into the reservoir on the return?
Does the engine itself get hot during a drive ?
