Stronger Clutch??

Post by Easy E »

Hey guys I own an 06 Suzuki Reno, it's N/A and has around 160hp give or take... I have gone to a few races of different sorts this past summer and I can't wait to get back to more next spring. The only downfall, I have gone through two clutches, the first was the OEM, which died because I wasn't shifting the car properly and went through it in 45,000 miles. The second was a clutch kit I bought from Daftart, which went out on me after around 12,000 miles. I believe that clutch kit from Daftart was somehow faulty as I don't think any amount of bad shifting could induce a clutch to split, especially since I bought the racing clutch kit. Now I have another OEM clutch in my D20 and I believe that should suffice for now. But I was wondering if anyone knows of a clutch that will fit into the D20 and be able to put up with some heavy racing abuse?

Any guidance would help. I have even been considering buying an OEM model and shipping it to a company to make a stronger version of it... Or if anyone has the Specs needed for this that would be much appreciated as well.

Thanks!

There are tons of companies that make clutches for the D20, most in the UK and Europe.

If you go to the link of world wide suppliers you can look through the list.... http://www.daewootech.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11159

A typcial application would be for the newer Astra or Vectra.
