I have an Aveo engine kicking around.... so I pulled the manifold off this morning.... it's the only 1.6L 16V I have so someone else will have to compare the Lanos manifold pattern.

Here is the picture.... looks like a perfect fit except for the EGR which is easy enough to fix.

Odds are on the turbo Z16LER the EGR port is there.... but it's not part of the manifold.... perhaps it's after the turbo.

With the current exchange rate of 1.59 USD = 1 GBP that manifold and turbo is a steal at just over $550 USD.

Shipping on that would probably run $100 USD to $150.

The EBAY ad also says they will post worldwide.... so that means they shouldn't have a problem sending it to USA or Canada

the Z16LER/LET are the same platform as the "twinport" motor being pushed by opel now. it's the same as the 1.8 in the US spec Asrta and the 09 1.6 Aveo and G3.

I'm about 90% sure that even though they look the same that they are quite differant. I have an A16 and an X18 exhaust gasket. I'll take a look again but I'm sure that if they were close enough I would have made a big deal about it.

the good news is that this would be perfect for the 2009 and newer cars.

cheers

Someone else mentioned that they thought it would be 100% compatible with the 09 Aveo so you could certainly be right..... and there should be a significant difference between gaskets (since the Z16LER doesn't have the EGR )

To me the bolt pattern spacing looks identical.... which is the only thing that matters.

For the EGR you could simply manufacture a separate plate and weld in a port to the turbo downpipe for EGR functionality. ( thus you can sell a conversion kit )

As far as the 1.8L..... I originally thought that it was a destroked 2.0L but it has a 80.5mm bore so you must be right about it being the same as the 1.6L

If you could lay them over each other and take pictures ( two pics swapping which one is on top ) that would certainly help.... ideally line up a center bolt hole.

Either way..... it's still a good deal... 350GBP for a complete manifold and turbo from a Corsa VXR would be a great deal.
