Re: Strange Rain Leak in Lanos
I had a similar situations with other woo's. They begin to drip right behind the dashboard by the pedals. Its usually the front windshield molding which has gone bad and will leak. Recline your driver seat completely flat and lie in it upside down (meaning your head will be under the dash and feet on the head rest) close the door and have an assistant pour water from a hose across the top and sides of the windshield. After a few moments you should see the water come down the left side fuse panel. The windshield would need to be removed, and the molding replaced. Not sure where in Fl u reside, but Charlies can do it for under 120. I use them all the time.
And to eliminate confusion, if the evap drainer is clogged it will only leak into the passenger floor well, and only when the ac is running. Another way to check for this is to turn the ac on with the car idle, and confirm water is dripping from the drain tube and a puddle is forming under the vehicle outside.
A heater core will spill coolant mixture into the passenger compartment if it blew, and if you had doubts, you will know it was that when your engine overheats lol
