If anyone needs one, I have a 75A SVR audio battery that I'm selling. I can bring it to the N.E.U.S. Daewoo meet if you need.

How much are you asking?
Can you get a tape measure & get it's dimentions, including height to the top of the terminal posts?

Thanks!

Some audio people were saying that the interstate Maga-tron battery is better than the optima. They are the same company? right? But what do you guys think is better. And which optima is the best for a Leganza? Red or Yellow? and what size? I want it to provide the best power for my audio and lower the strain on the alternator.

Optima Red top for starting, yellow top for a stereo system.

Red has more CCA (cold cranking amps) and the yellow top can discharge and recharge faster.

Some people like to have both: the red under the hood & the yellow in the back by the amplifiers.

That's the one I was thinking of buying. :)
The dealer near me said he can let me have it for $160 new.

If you can beat that for used, then I'll bring the ca$h with me to PA next weekend.

Well I'm selling mine (which I never really even used) with a PAC 200A battery isolator for $125. Let me know if you definately want it so I can arrange to have it brought down here. It now rests in the truck of my Lanos which is about 3 hours away :(

I know this has probably already come up but how much would i notice if i replaced the Daewoo OE battery with a Optima Yellow top. I have a basic stereo setup with two 12" subs a cap, and an amp. I see a little dimming at 30 volume but not much else. the battery is like 3yr old.

The yellow top will probably get rid of that dimming espeically if you replace the stock under-the-hood ground wires and alternator charging wire.

1) Battery negative to body
2) Body to engine block
3) Battery positive to alternator output terminal

Dimming is a sign of inadequate grounding, amplifier power wire guage and battery discharge rate.
Upgrade those three items (battery, grounds & power cable), and you won't see dimming, unless the amplifiers are drawing more current than the alternator can adequately compensate for.

I hope I will see a difference. That OE Daewoo brand battery sucks in my opinion. All I got to do now is find one that will fit in the same spot. I don't want to do any modifications.

I just got my yellow top optima. It works great. No fading, back window defrost works better, widows come up faster. They are amazing.

Hate to sound like a total dumbass... but what benefits do you get from a hardcore battery besides easy start ups?
