cylinder numbering lanos

Post by sheepdizildawg »

looked for a while, cant find it, i think i asked once before but cant find it.

I am throwing a check engine light, and it blinks when i am touching the gas pedal so i went and got it scanned due to not liking the 17 mpg that i have been getting. It came back with

"Cylinder misfire detected - cylinder number 1"

what one is number one? far left or far right. looking at the engine from the front of the car

Yeah cylinder number should be far left near the air meter.. will my car also flash this light if its miss firing anywhere as i havent had this problem yet....(98 nubira1 1.6) only my fuel pump is slightly dodgey waiting for it to give in completley before buying a new one im getting around town 9litres per 100 kilometres no check engine as yet... my injector on number one piston got stuck open and the car was near undrivable id rectify this asap as power will be lost severley...
