Re: Read on Gasolines
the ecu is programed for use of low octane gas. every once in a while i used to put mid grage in my car and i actually got worse mileage, and no extra power. there is no reall benifate to useing high grade gas when you dont need it. save the money and get good old unleaded.
Re: Read on Gasolines
i normally put in 99 oct once a month mix with injector clealer
Re: Read on Gasolines
damn i just lost 1 tank of gas because i was using 93 for some time now
Re: Read on Gasolines
in here we have 80, 90, 92 and 95 octane
i've been running 90 on my dad's car for few years as back then their was no 92... after the introduction of the 92 octane i gave it a try... not much difference but when the price of the 90 octane went higher and was only 2 cents less than the price of 92 i went for the 92 and i am still using it till now... the funny thing is it seems that the quality of the 90 octane has degraded severely as most woo owners complained about its performance after the price adjustment
some brave woo owners are taking the risk and use 80 octane in their woos as it is 56% less in price than the 92 (it is even cheaper than diesel)... they do adjust the octane plug for 83 octane and very few of them had knocking issues... i tried one of them cars using 80 and it didn't knock during the drive except when i was backing it up to park
