You can buy the LSD for the F28 directly from the Quaife UK website.

I was wondering if this fits the f28 because I heard on migweb that the f23 and f28 are compatible heres the link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/OBX-Heli ... 240%3A1318

I split this from my project topic and moved it here because it has very little to do with my GSi Turbo project information and I don't want my topic to be 40 pages long.

Thanks for the input on the Quaife LSD, I have a supplier that will sell me the Quaife LSD for significantly less than the Quaife online shop.

As for the F23, I don't know who on migweb would have said the F23 and F28 are compatible.

The F16/D16/F18/F20/D20/F28 (FWD) all use the same differential

The part number for the F23 is different than it is for the gear boxes that are compatible with our vehicles.

Most likely the main difference is the spline pattern for the drive shafts.

I'm not selling parts but I can hook you up with my UK contact.

I was quoted 490 GBP a few months back from a seller in the UK... hopefully he can still offer me that pricing.

So that's $718 USD plus shipping which should be in the range of about $75 USD

So I'm going to guess that were looking at roughly $800 plus duty and customs.

Say another $50 for customs (Fed Ex) and another $50 in duty.

So probably landed on your door that would be about $900 I'm guessing.

I might want another quaife for an F28 this summer, or at least the D20. Depends what I end up going with.

you have to register and then add what ever you want to the cart then check out and it will show you how much the shipping is then just empty your cart

Any idea where to get an F28? Thinking of swapping my transmission, D16 to this F28.

What is the spline pattern of F28 for the clutch kit?
Does that means I have to use opel clutch kit?

Can the final drive ratio kit (4.2 final drive) from my D16 be used in the F28?
I have 2 final drive ratio kit now with me, one is 3.944, the other one is 4.176 (currently using).

I think that you would have to use C20LET/C25XE clutch, and probably C20LET flywheel, and clutch set. I don't know if the flywheel will fit to small engine. It fits on all 2.0 litre opel engines.

So, if you don't have 2 litre engine, you should stick to D16 gearbox. F16 quaife LSD would fit on F28-FWD gearbox. Not on F28 4x4... Also F28-FWD is twice as heavy as D16... So there is no point of using F28, unless it's 2litre engine with 400+whp and 4x4... I have C20LET/F28-FWD and I'm thinking of changing it to F25 from C25XE (2.5 V6 engine)... It's 5 speed gearbox with much longer gears...
