Good-Day,
I have a 2007 Pontiac Wave SE Sedan purchased in Ottawa,Ontario,Canada. Roughly at the 30,000KM I started hearing a ticking sound coming from my engine. According to my dealership mechanic that sound is normal, they said my engine is made by Daewoo and that all Daewoo Engines make that noise which is common. they had it on the scope and nothing showed up everything was normal.
Is that true or should I be worried ?

Re: Ticking Sound from Engine
No abnormal ticking that is noticable is normal beleive it or not the nobs that say its a daewoo oh well its just shit dont know what they are on about.. you must have a dry spot or spots in your cams where an oil gland is blocked with shit. or the engine has been thrashed and is damaged or a damaged spot on your cams (most unlikley though) its more likely crap in your engine preventing good oil flow. when i rebuild my head i had a ticking noise that would come and then clear out with a good rev gone since i have put miles on the car. Put a new oil filter in the car and change the oil if you havent allready and see what that does...... daewoo engines often sound lumpy cams doin there thing and grumpy when provoked this is normal i have been told.. not ticking hope this helps
