Are those Daewoo items? The dealer recall invoice has a Daewoo part #93742507. You can order it from Daewoous.com but the only picture I can find is this one:

So this should have been connected between the cam sensor and the injector wires correct? Not someplace behind the fuse box inside the driver's compartment or something?

well if you brought it to a GM dealership they will use what ever they have around for that, they arnt going to order in a OEM daewoo part unless it is really needed ( ie wiring harness) so the chances they used that is pretty slim. But i cant say for sure so it could be that; the fuseable link will be in the engine bay not inside the car.

EDIT: just looked at the picture closly, thats just a clamp fuseable link, those things SUCK! pray they didnt use that thing.

They didn't actually use anything though, that's the thing. They SAID they did, but didn't apparently. The part number and picture are of what they said they ordered in specifically for my recall and what they have listed on my invoice from when I took it into them to fix the sensor, but they lied about it and apparently didn't do any of the work on the cam recall. The cam sensor wiring joins with the injector wiring near the throttle body opening at a connector (C108 I think it is). I would assume it would be between that connector and the cam sensor, which it most definitely was not. At this point I'm just trying to make sure I know exactly what was supposed to be done so I can decide what I need to talk to them about.

EDIT: And by talk I mean yell and throw a fit. If anybody has seen Kung Pow: Enter the Fist, it will look a lot like when the Chosen One gets frustrated trying to take off the metal pyramids on the dummies' chests.

Haha, yeah that will probably be part of the plan. Only problem is finding one that still does Daewoo recall work. Just calling all the ones on the list only got me the one that screwed me over from what I remember. Guess I better do it now before GM goes belly up. hopefully I won't have to drive TOO far.

lol GM wont go bell up, none of the big 3 will, they may "close" but they will reopen as a new name. but I can't see that either. I don't trust GM dealers with a LN2 engine and they came a lost of different cars. I don't dealer with Dealerships unless its a special part that i cant get.

Believe me, I don't deal with dealers either. The only reason for any of this mess is because the failing cam sensor was supposed to be covered for free under recall. Haha, that's the real killer part here is if it wasn't for the recall I would have bought a used sensor off Ebay for $20 and been done with it when the problem first popped up. Lol, the thing that makes me the most mad about any of this is when they told me they wanted $90 to clear a code. Made me want to buy a scanner for $2,500 and travel around the country clearing codes for a living. $90 for 30 seconds of pressing a button isn't a bad living. That's $10,800/hr!

Oh, and the problem is if they close or technically go out of business, I don't think they'd have a legal obligation to make woo replacement parts anymore no matter what name they have after.

We can hope, but I don't know if most parts that are Daewoo specific would be financially worth it to most after market places. I had the impression GM only does it because it was part of the agreement when they bought Daewoo that they had to for so many years. I might be remembering that wrong though.

I wouldnt worry these cars are used all over the world under different names, a aftermarket company will step in if need be.
