Lanos valve cover gasket part # issues?90353002 what is this

Post by azazel19 »

My other question has been answered. I called the dealer about the D-sealing gaskets and they are cheap but they'll take a couple of weeks to get here. I found two on ebay that include a gasket and the sealing D's but the part numbers on one store don't come up with anything on gm-car-parts.com and the other store has two part numbers one is the gasket the other one is the same as the other store and pulls up nothin.

here are the part number i got from the stealership: gasket cam cover 96351213. D-seal 96144621

ebay: 96351213 cam gasket. 90353002 no clue nothing comes up anyone know what this is.

I don't know if you already have a new gasket or not?
But if you do ? This may help you :)

When I got mine (for $10.00 USD) from this store:
http://stores.ebay.com/Daewoo-Parts-4-Less

Who say's this (following) about it........

"This is an OEM Valve Cover Gasket for 2000-2002 Daewoo Lanos 1.6L DOHC. from Vin# E246980 and 2004-2008 Chevy Aveo.
Includes Valve Cover Gasket OEM part# 96353002 and 2 Seal-D part# 96144621."

So, look your gasket over very carefully.
I didn't see the two "D" plugs right away.

Why?...

Because the two "D's" were put together to form a "O" and that "O" was inside one of the spark-plug orifice circles of the actual gasket.
I had to thumb press it out, than separate the two "D's"

So, you may already have them as they are very hard to notice on first glance.

96351213 or 96353002

Post by jmsptrs »

I need to change the valve cover gasket in my Lanos 2000. Going by my engine number I need 96351213, but the only one I find on ebay is 96353002. What is the difference between the two?

Thanks

Well if anybody in the US wants to find their engine number just send in your VIN to www.daewoous.com and they'll look it up for you.
