I don't think anyone has done it on the Daewoo versions, but there are lots who have done it on the Opel/Vauxhall 16V engines (which are close cousins to the Daewoo 16V )

SBD Motorsport is the best source for ITB's.... they show a C20XE making 196hp and 170lbft of torque.

Go in, click on Vauxhall, then multi throttle kits and that should get you to where you want to be.

Thanks and regards.

Sir I thought of it and then backed out because people told me that I have to get ecu chipped and unfortunately in my area there is no one chipping daewoo ecu's.

Btw could I go for forced induction without chipping the ecu. And if so what turbo do you recommend.

Thanks and regards.

It would help if I knew more about where your from so I could suggest possibilities.

As far as modifying them to fit your woo..... it's possible... but not the easiest thing to do.

You could make an adapter plate.... but I guess it depends on what resources you have available.

@nexia

Sir, im much impressed by the turbo power but i need a proper step by step guidance for turbocharging. In my location i can find mostly diesel turbo's or some turbos from toyota 4efet's. Intercoolers of pajero are also available. Also people here lack electronics sense so ecu/ecm setting is quite difficult (I have an idea in my mind i.e., to disconnect TPS, which would make it run rich (but will guzzle fuel)). Also wide band O2 sensor and boost map sensor would be a big problem for me (as they are very expensive and difficult to find)

Cold Air Intake and platinium irridium plugs are already installed in my ride.

And one thing more that the shipping cost to my current location usually cost more than actual product cost.

Could you please guide me step by step about turbocharging (considering given constraints)?

@precissionboost

Sir, i'm in Islamabad, Pakistan. Labor is cheap here and machining and latch work (for manifolds, adapter plates) can be done cheaply and perfectly but people here lack car electronics sense.

Actually i'm interested in ITB's as turbo is a big problem for me as I mention in my above reply to nexia. Also your guidance is required in ITB as well as turbocharging (considering given constraints).

Btw I swapped my engine from 1.5 SOCH (g15mf) to 1.5 DOCH (a15mf)[/b]

Thanks and regards.

I would suggest ITB's with individual carburetors ( weber )

You can find these carburetors on motorcycles, they are very easy to tune and should give very nice power gains.

Most people think that carburetors are "old and useless" but they are significantly easier to tune than an ECU.

My suggestion is to go with high compression pistons, more aggressive cams and ITB's with weber carburetors.

The specs for the cams can be found on several UK sites ( see my post about world wide suppliers )

You can take these specs and have someone build up and regrind your cams ( since labor is cheap )

As far as pistons, there are a few options including milling down the cylinder head slightly to raise compression.

Even removing a small amount of cylinder head surface will increase compression significantly.

With the larger lift/duration cams and a shaved cylinder head you will most likely have to machine the tops of the pistons where the valves approach the piston.

With this solution I'm guessing you will see 140hp and the cost will be low because the only parts you need to buy are the caburetors and ITB's

Another cost would be that this setup would only work well at high revs

#Edit, I guess it depends on the cam grind
