As some of you know.
I need to import some parts from Europe/UK to fix my engine is smoking and lacks of power.
I dont even rev it more then 3k and just takes me from point A to point B.
This past few months ive been looking at these 1.5/1.6 turbo builds making nice power with stock internals.
On saturday, I went to see an old friend daewoo mechanic who does that for a living, and he had had about 8 1.5 blocks laying around, one 1.6 8v and various 16v heads! i was like WTF!!! and no 2.0 parts...
I want to have avaliable parts locally and thats the main reason to build a smallblock.
Yes, i love the 2.0XE but i need to import everything in order to fix it.
Of course the honda management will be also used on the smallblock.
what you guys think.

Sounds like it might be a good way to go if there are lots of parts available.... the 1.5L or 1.6L turbo should kill the N/A C20XE
The bonus is that when you drive the vehicle "nicely" you will get better gas mileage with the small block engine.

yeah, i think its the most logic thing to do,
yes the 1.5/1.6 turbo should kill the XE.
the XE gives very good gas milage when its not rev hard, thanks to the very good low end torque. i guess i will do similar a on 1.6 turbo.
i´ll start making the homework for a good turbo build.

I think this is a good idea.... alot more potential for power than the 2.0 NA. And with the amount of head gaskets you've blown, I think it is time for a change lol.
