Lacetti 1.5 in Korea (1.5L Turbo @1bar with heavy-duty A/T)

Post by biondi »

I have finished working on my 2003 Lacetti 1.5A/T.
And I'm Tunning BBS manager of Club Lacetti(http://www.clublacetti.com).
But.... I am working at a company which has no relation with car or tunning....

Fortunately, no engine trouble, no mission trouble has been occurred ever since turbo installed in 2006.
But, I have spent money more than 2 times of the cost of the car by now. OTL
And I will spend no more money for the car... Current global recession squeezes me.

I checked my calculation was wrong.
The correct compression ratio is 8.34:1.
And I used 3 gaskets together. GM genuine head gasket(metal) 0.75mm X 3 sheets.
Stock compression ratio 9.5:1. (1 gasket).

I fixed my thread.

Hmm... Lacetti's genuine head gasket is surely metal, 0.75T, and I can check it in Service manual.
All turbo lacetti(1.5L, 1.6L engine) in Korea use just stock gasket, 2 or 3 sheets.
Ah, just one is using custom metal gasket. He is an engineer and he made the gasket by himself.

So, some nubuira owners use lacetti's head gasket.
This is very cheap but durability is quite good.
And I have not seen gasket trouble yet, for all turbo Lacetti.

There is only a few turbo lacetti in Korea, and I know almost all the turbo owners.

I really like what you did with the car. I think it looks great on the outside and that extra power I know is alot more fun. What rims are those and what sizes?

I hope the auto transmission holds up for you!

Thanks exist3nce...
Today, it is snow in Seoul... everything is covered with white....

The rim is SSR Type-C 16", 7J, +42 offset, 4H and it is one of Japanese rim. It is called as Competitions in the USA.
It is light-weight, about 11lbs(5kg) each. And I'm using 5mm hub spacer due to big caliper.

The tire is Hankook V12EVO 205-45-16. It is quite good feeling(low noise, good grip... just private feelings...^^)
