cant find temp sensor on car!!!

need help locating the reticular water temp sensor to be replaced to pass inspection. its a 2001 lanos with a 4 cylender block.

Is your engine DOHC or SOHC?

if its a 1.6 dohc its on the head kinda behind the alternator, its just a small nipple sticking out of the head, kinda hard to see unless you know where it is.

this pic kinda points to it, its hidden by the alternator in this pic though

It is a witch to get to though. Is removing the Alt is the best way?
