i want power out of this, should i go with the muffler, or whole exhaust system?

go for the full exhaust, depending on if your motor is modified, about a half inch bigger exhaust will give you the biggest gains, anything too big will make you lose power so dont plan on a 3' rice system if you want power....

yeah its gonna be all motor, no forced induction, and my engine is all stock, except for CAI so about a half inch bigger pipe you say?

half an inch bigger was what was recomended to a friend of mine for his 1.5L mirage, still ask the people at the exhaust place anyways, because they might have different, or even better knowledge on the topic

lanos 1.6 go 2" or 2.5" if you play to do some mods .. Actualy front part that goes to cat is size ok its 2" (99 moddel dno about newer ones) middle tube sucks as it goes way smaller all of suddon and rear exhaust well if you get a new one it will be prolly big enhough :)

Also remove/'hollow out and weld tube in) the cat below the car :)

leave the cat because you can be finned more than $5000 (in australia) for EPA violations. Its not worth the fine for 1 or 2kws

sheesh lol in belguim i yust get a warning for when they notice... and the cant unless teh got a CO meter at hand (wich they dont) so i like my removed cat :)
