it seems small changes realy make a big difference... im talking about engine modification of course.

here are the stats of my mates fiat punto that i absolutely thrashed by several car lengths friday nite...

920kg
1242cc dohc 16v
comp.: 10.6:1
79 bhp@5000 rpm
84 ft-lb@4000 rpm
0-60 mph: 11.4s
top speed: 107 mph
85.9 bhp/ton

compared to a standard lanos 1.3 the fiat punto has the upper hand.

would be quite intresting to get my car on a rolling road and see what the engine is up to at full chat. lol

well today's been a productive day... NOT!

woke up round 2 or 3 pm i think... had a coffee... had a smoke... thought about making breakfast... looked outside and it was dark outside. ive never known a shorter day lol

automatics suck. simple. lol

my mothers mercedes is an auto, and evry time i put my foot down too quickly i get an error on the LCD "EPC Failure" aka Engine Power Control failure and it switches to half power which is around 70hp... but i think thats just a problem with the electronics and ecu, but as far as the throttle and gearbox goes theres no feel for how fast you're going... where as with a manual and an old-fashioned cable throttle (ie: Lanos) u can feel when the engine's having its nuts revved off or when its struggling. the lanos talks to me. lol

Fly-by wire accelerators are so shit like.

Was in my uncles new passat the other day, was wondering why he was sitting on the brake on a hill instead of the handbrake, he said his handbrake didnt work, i asked why, and he said the buttons broke lol. It's a fly by wire handbrake too. Jesus christ like, whats wrong with a good ol' cable?
