Is there any US-spec vehicles with the same rear disc setup as these that would bolt onto the Lanos?
no, unfortunately. the vehicle with the closest bolt pattern is the saturns from the early 90's but they require a seperate caliper bracket. it's the same set up that I have on my LeMans.

Hey guys
I finished both sides last night. so the Woo now has new disks, new bearings and the re-conditioned calipers.
I think they look brilliant - now i just have to strip the handbrake cable off the GSI and transfer it to the Woo.
Oh and got a spare rear disk setup now !!!! Gona try sell it on the local Opel site - they seam to go from R900 to R1500 - thats about $90 to $150.

Hey howzit G.
I emailed ya some more detialed pics.
came across a small problem last night,
Only problem area in the fitment is going to be the handbrake cable - the GSI has a tunnel in the petrol tank that the Woo doesn't - therefore the GSI cable is to short so I'm gona have to either get a specialist cable place to mod the Woo one or get a new one made up. Also the GSI axel has an additional bracket that the cable runs through, but all that’s needed is a small piece of angle iron bolted onto the Woo one, it's easier that swapping out the whole axel.
Will get my mate to help me bleed the brakes tonight.
More to follow.

Ahhhhhh cool thanks man. car aint got ABS so no worries then.
Thinking of now swapping the whole axel off the GSI over the to Woo as it has an anti roll bar in it and the extra brackets to hold the handbrake cable in the right place.

howzit boys n girls
I see Mo has also done the disk upgrade to his Lanos - report back on mine, got compley new cable made up and just cut the brackets off the GSI axel and welded them onto the Woo's axel - location of the cable sorted, new cable cost me about US$50.
Next bit was the upgrade of the fronts, was gona use the 280mm Zaphira disks but the Brembos hit the TSW wheels,, so i bought some Corsa OPC (VXR) 307mm disks.
.
Had to peel my face off the windscreen when we braked hard from 150kph (+-95 miles an hour)
Here is a comparison of the std 256 disk to the 307mm one
