can I change the 4t40-e in lanos to another type of auto trans lik
e honda or toyota auto trans?

any thing is possable if you have the money. buy why would you want to? the 4t40e is a very strong tranny.

yeah...you can order the 4t40e built to the point it can handle 600 hp...and it's much easier to stick with original equipment than change to something completely different. 600 hp, that's more than enough for a street car.

the 4t40e dose not have a good support in my country,

i saw many dump 4t40e trans cause of wrong deal with it or bad support

what ever you need for your tranny you can order online and have it shipped to you, trust me that would be alot easier and cheaper.

I live in Egypt,,

most of the lanos in egypt are 1500 CC , manual transmission

i got a car from Koria , lanos 99 , auto trans

so the auto trans does not have support because they don't assembly
automatic lanos in egypt tell now

what power level are you looking for? or is the transmission you have bad? if it's for performance you should be able to go up to around 160 whp without problems...that's plenty for our little cars.

I'm looking for stability and less troubles

the old auto Honda and most Japanese cars works fine ,easy
to check the oil level , long life trans

200k miles shouldnt be a problem with this tranny, nice long life span.
