what the hell is that thing anyway? what a bunch of jack *****. if you've got a large bump like that you need to have much different signage. I think you'd have a pretty good case.

Update

Post by exist3nce »

Some updates on this.....

I was in the shop all day yesterday working on the car. Replacing the oil pan was a pain in the ass!!! Had to remove the AC bracket and lift the passenger side of the motor off the mount because the oil pan could not clear the subframe.... uhhgg. That turned a 30 min job into a 2hr job. So as it stands now the oil pan has been replaced and the new 3" downpipe is being built.

Pictures will be up soon.

New downpipe and midpipe

Post by exist3nce »

So all work is complete and the car is back on the road as of yesterday night. The motor and suspension seem to be fine. We built a new 3" downpipe and midpipe along with replacing the oil pan. I can definitely notice the turbo spooling up faster with the larger piping!

More shots of the oil pan:

6 Puck Kevlar Clutch is now installed with 1500lb PP, 20mm flywheel step, and freshly resurfaced flywheel. Peddle is slightly stiffer, but still within comfort. The engagement is quite nice and smooth, but it also feels like it will grip nicely (after breakin period).

Unfortunately it looks like they're trying to shaft me by passing on the responsibility and claim to the contractor. The contractor says they did everything in accordance with their set out guidelines and that its not they're fault. I haven't decided if I want to take it to court yet, I'm trying to get in touch with other people who were damaged that night .

Lawyer up and sue them for punitive damages so then you can buy a whole new car 8) Shoddy work gets shoddy treatment. I'd hit the city up too for not wanting to pay for safe roads too. I'm sure when they find out a lawyers involved suddenly a wallet might open.
