My new seats! ... and car

Post by kinkyllama »

Well i finsihed putting my seats in... such a nice sporty feeling being down low. And surprisingly the new seats are much more comfy than the stock ones! Only problem is i like the steering wheel futhur down and i cant get it any fathur down.. but im going to wait a week and if im still not happy with it im just going to put some spacers in and raise the seats a bit! I still havnt put the harness' in yet, that'll be next week. Along with repainting the inside of the car (including carpet) and refabricating the back seat to match the fronts! My moms helping me with that as she used to be a interior designer. Anyways heres some pitures of my car too since i havnt posted any! enjoy...

Anyways, tell me what you think! oh btw im tinting it more this week (it looks dark in the pictures but it really isnt that dark) and im thinking about getting different rims. . .

Where the seats a perfect fit, or did you modified them to fit?

Cuase I wanted to buy Matrix Diablo racing seats and these Matrix seats look very good.

Your seats look good too but if I were you I would furnished them with a more navy blue vinyl. Thats what I'm going to do with my interior.

Coming soon.

No they were not.. tom had to fabricate them to work with my car. I had a choice between these and ones with more blue.. i liked these better. I dont want to much blue cuz im redoing my interior soon and i dont want alot of blue.. i think it'd look too flashy.

Well i ordered the factory spoiler.. kind of a rip off if you ask me but i rather go with factory one than an aftermarket one. Retail its $342usd.. the guy had to order it and need to mmoney up front.. i had to go to the bank and he said he didnt think id come back so he give it to me for like 285.

Anyone know how to install a spoiler? should it come iwth double sided tape or something? What about the brake light? They wanted 80-100 to install it!

double sided tape?

Woah, one bad bump and u'll be missing a spoiler...

You'll have to drill holes for the spoiler into your trunk then you'll mount it with some bolts, and for the 3rd brake light? You'll probably have to splice it into the wires of one of your brake lights ... lol just hope it's not the turn signal cuz you're spoiler will be blinkin' like nightrider lol..

hope this helps

i got a sedan Lanos and my spoiler didn't require any drilling.

it had double sided tape on the middle and both ends and a U shaped clip at both ends that hooks with the spoiler and the lip of the trunk and it is held by a screw driver so no one can yank the spoiler off the trunk and you can remove it any time with no nasty holes left on the trunk.

as for the stop light i wired the spoiler's stop light with the left tail light... just wire it to the wires of the brakes bulb.

also my spoiler came painted with the same color of the car so the installation took me some 5 min. only.

Well I'd like to make mine navy blue like I said. Can you send me some pic of the mods to the seats.

And which spoiler did you buy?

If you're going to keep that spoiler for a long time I recommend you to do as KnightWalace said. (If I were you.)

Well this is what happens when you drive a 1.25mile course at high speeds for awhile.. i drove 100miles on the track, went through 3/4 of a tank of gas (14.5 gallons). I also went threw my brakes pretty well.. they barrley work now, but they needed to be replaced soon anyways and i got my new rotors the other day.

My brakes were so hot they were actually smoking after my last run! and i had to come in early because my tires wernt gripping and my brakes wernt braking. My rotors were redhot and my wheels were so hot from being around the brakes you couldnt even touch them.

The only car that didnt past me or that i didnt past (we stayied the same) was a fixed up maita.. he was a class ahead of me too! which suggests hes a better drive. The particular miata had around 160hp and tires with a treatwear of 80less than mine (alot softer) so it was amazing i even kept up with him.. not to even mention it handles better stock
