when's the woo coming back to the philippines?!

Post by jaejae b. pasco »

am a proud cielo GLE owner; and probably the best-looking daewoo in cagayan de oro city, philippines. man, u guys must see how other daewoo cars look over here...

the reason why am asking this is that we, woo owners, find it hard to look for replacement parts (not to mention the impossibility of performance parts) here. and that's the reason why many woo owners simply are not toying with their cars anymore. except me, i suppose. we do not have daewoo distribution, no daewoo parts dealers, no legit daewoo service centers. but am lucky to have a mechanic who was trained by daewoo years ago before the woo finally called it goodbye philippines! man, he's a treasure to keep!

i've seen so many woo droolers in the net. even new models that we're even deprived to see in flesh. i think the newest woo running in the streets here's the matiz. and some korean surplus espero. and a some tico's. racers and cielos are not rare, though, but very seldom you can find them in good condition. even a few glazed ones. like i said, a few sell daewoo parts and if they do, the tag would seem to tell you that they're not for sale!

woo's a good car. at least i could attest to it. it may not be as popular as the hondas and toyotas and the mitsus. and not as good looking also. but am crossing my fingers GM would consider to put up a hub back in the philippines.

i'd really love to make my woo a truly certified import tuner. i've started supping it up with everything i can. mine's now a metallic mint green atop a quad of 16's wrapped with GY 205/45's, K&N cone filter, NGK type R's, splitfire plugs/cables, braided hose & fittings, custom grilles mugen-type, custom headers and 2.5" freeflow muffs, keyhole-less trunk, stripped/shaved mouldings, HID headlights, foglight-less bumpers, Kole Audio amps, speakers and subs, kenwood head, suede-covered touring seats and tint-less, clean, sticker-free glass all over. very, very clean lookings.....but i hope GM-daewoo partnership will make it happen even more for us woo owners!

thanks and more power!
