LANOS!

•for one there are more parts available
•it's based on a VERY popular platform from Europe
•motor swaps are WELL documented
•it cheaper!

Im curious. For people that have driven both the lanos and the aveo, which one is "faster"? or at least, which one "feels" faster....

I ask because Ive never driven a lanos...but two summers ago a friend of mine got an aveo as a rental car while his car was in the shop. (actually, his dad got it..but we took it anyway). We went to an empty parking lot in a warehouse and tested the little car. I have to say, I really liked it. For a small car it felt pretty responsive, accelerated decently, and the ebrake worked wonders for turning it around (unlike my heavy assed leganza). It was an auto, but it still felt pretty fun until a tire popped out of the rim and we had to call it a night since it was around 4 a.m.

So anyways, just curious.

I've recently driven an 08 aveo and I know my lanos feels faster...but I believe that's just because of my upgrades. I remember my lanos feeling about the same as the aveo before I started working on it.
