Here is the great thing..... I sold my car to a friend who gave me $6000 CDN for my 2001 Lanos S Hatchback (24,000km) and I only paid $19,890 for the Optra 5 which has every option available..... power sunroof, power doors/windows, aluminum wheels, fog lights, Air Cond, CD with MP3 player, factory alarm system.
I managed to get 0% financing so the $6000 will be enough to pay for my monthly payments for the next 15 months.
I pick it on friday afternoon.... I will post a few more pictures then.
Perhaps the word "terminated" is too strong.... I'd still like to do a C20GET swap into a Lanos but the Optra 5 project will be my first priority.
If anyone hears of a cheap Lanos with a dead engine or extremly high kilometers let me know because I might be interested in purchasing it and turning it into a "track car"
I really like the Lacetti hatch .. and if they had them here for sale when I was looking for a new car, I would have gotten one. Ever since seeing them on line, I liked how they looked.
When the Reno is available in the U.S., I want to check it out. Looks nice! I think it'd be a funny idea to put the GM-Daewoo badges on it, like in Korea. Anyone know a good source for stuff like that? Probably wouldn't cost too much. As for a turbo, would a supercharger be a better option, for torque?
I personally like the idea of stripping all badges so nobody can figure out what it is......or possibly throw on an Opel symbol and really confuse everyone.
The Chev symbol will be the first to go.... I hope to get rid of it this weekend.
