Been bothering me for a while...

Hey guys,

Finally I'm going to ask this... I've noticed on many Lanoses the reverse lights... one is clear and one is red, why is that?

Because that's the way it is overseas.

i saw that on a lanos too but i didn't give it much thought... actually it seems pointless to have one red and one white reverse light, if that was a traffic law or something it would be very stupid.

In Europe you gotta have a "high beam" light in the back (like when you press the brakes) for highways and low vision zones.

Yes, in situtations like fog, or otherwise very poor visibility one must turn on this very bright red light.

ic... i have noticed that on some cars too, it looks as if you are stepping on the brakes all the time.

one question though... what about the pre 2000 lanoses? do they have that kind of tail light setup? i haven't seen one with such setup before

You're right 360. That's a back fog light. It's a must in Europe!
