Just Got Back from Junkyard.

Post by BosnianLanos »

Went to the junkyard today for the first time in attempt to find various parts for my Lanos. Found 2 Leganzas and 2 Nubiras both 80-90% complete, however no Lanoses. All victims of broken timing belts.

If anyone needs anything I will attempt to go down and see what I can do. Just list what you need from a Leganza or Nubira and I'll see what I can do.

Yes, I need a Leganza grille if it is available. Mine got damaged after hitting the deer last fall.

Oh ... and a passnger side front door for my Leganza to replace the one that was dented when a motorcycle hit my car 4 days before the deer hit the car. LOL

I usually drive down to FL twice a year, and have not yet been this spring, so I should be coming down sometime soon.
Clearwatrer is only about an hour and a half from where my grandparents live in Winter Haven, so it would not be a bad drive out.

If he can't get them for you be sure to add your parts to my 'Adopt A Part' list in the classifieds section. I'll print out the whole list on my next trip to the "World's Largest Auto Salvage Yard" which should be within the next month or so.

Ok guys, next time I go, I'll keep a lookout for:

1 Nubira Driver Side power switch with plastic: Can you Take a pic??
2 Leganza Grilles
1 Stock Leganza AirBox
1 Passanger Side Front Door... Shipping will be a bitch, but If you are going to come down to FL, I guess I can hold it for you.

I will probablly go in 2 weeks, I can't go this weekend since my Grandfather is going back to Europe.

Still taking orders.

I doubt there is anything even remotley new in the 'yard, most new cars go to rebuilders or bodyshops to be fixed and then resold. That means that it is impossible to find a Forenza body in good shape, and even if I did, shipping to Arizona??? or even to pick it up would be a nightmare  .

Only "newer" cars I have seen are our Daewoos, an Eagle Talon/Mitsubishi Eclipse, and a Honda Civic Del Sol with the B18 ripped out and the interior gutted. Everthing else was <1995. Still a fun place for a gearhead to be.
