Bunch of random lanos questions
Answered 1) How the hell do you get all the side markers off?
Answered 2) Anyone that has changed the front grill to mesh, what have you done to that middle piece that's part of the hood latch? I think it wouldn't look to bad with that sitting back there but really want to get rid of it. I think I'm just going to cut it out and use hood pins for both the front and rear of the hood. Then I could lose maybe 5lbs with the hinges as an added bonus.
Answered 3) What is that box under the passenger seat?
4) How much whp do you think the factory fuel pump can support? or is it the same pump as the forenza/reno?
Answered 5) A D20 bolts right in correct? I'm almost postive they have the same housing as the D16
6) Use 2.0s ECU to run the engine but is there anyway I can use it for everything else too and just get rid of the 1.6 ECU?
Answered 7) I want to remove the antenna. Is there any easy way to still get good am/fm reception?
Answered 8 ) To get to the rear brake & turn signal bulbs do I have to remove the whole taillight?
9) ....There are no other mods needed to get the 2.0 in? I don't like suprises. haha
Answered 10) Does the sport come with ABS? ...What do I look for to see if I have ABS? I've never had it before so I'm clueless
11) Drivers door lock is broken on the inside part? Anyone deal with this?
12) Did any years/models/Countrys Lanos come without A/C? Whats the dash like? I'm getting ride of my A/C and would like to clean out the controls.
13) How do you remove the rear quarter panels?
14) The 1.6 has a return fuel system right? The 2.0 (U20SED) doesn't so how do I deal with that?
Anyone else have trouble removing the rear taillight covers? I annihilated one of my. Lol. Most of it really wasn't my fault though, I think this lanos was just parked in the Texas sun it's whole life cuz that sucker cracked so easily in so many ways.
Thanks!

1. If so they aren't being friendly. I already cracked one. They seam similiar to my forenza which pot out with some work but they are really hard to get behind on the Lanos.daewooluvr wrote: 1. I believe they just pop out. Please someone confirm.

2. It's already somewhat flat black. I'll do the mesh then see how I feel about it. I just took apart the Lanos grill and it'll be a piece of cake to mesh compared to my forenza.
3. That's what I figured but it looks different than most I've seen.
4.

Re: Bunch of random lanos questions
You need to apply pressure/push them in (as if you were trying to push it into the engine bay) and then while holding that pressure, slide it towards the rear end of the car, and then they'll pop out/pivot on that back edge.kinkyllama wrote:1) How the hell do you get all the side markers off?

Thanks. Mine were pretty stuck and I ended up chipping them up but they looked flawless now that I blacked them out and popped them back in. I had to super glue one togather. lolubuyau wrote:You need to apply pressure/push them in (as if you were trying to push it into the engine bay) and then while holding that pressure, slide it towards the rear end of the car, and then they'll pop out/pivot on that back edge.kinkyllama wrote:1) How the hell do you get all the side markers off?

Do you have a picture of your front end in daylight by chance?BosnianLanos wrote:I rattle-canned the hood latch portion black. My Lanos is bright-freaking-red and you can't even tell it's there.

Thanks. That looks great, can't even really tell when looking for it.daewoomofo wrote:i do
Anyone have pictures similiar to this but with a black grill/mesh? I don't think it'll hide it nearly as well but I think I'll still be happy with the results.
