I'm just mad we don't get French cars. Or cheap Italian cars. Or cheap German cars. Or cheap British cars....etc.

We're stuck with GM/Ford rental cars.

I guess the new Saturns are doing OK. The Astra, Sky/GT, Aura/Vectra, VUE/Antara are a step in the right direction, but Saturn as a brand name is marred with YEARS of bad cars. Bringing in cool European cars nowadays won't have much effect in the short run...and who knows if any in the long run.

We need FIAT, Peugeot, Renault, Citroen, Opel, Alfa-Romeo, and VW super-minis like the Polo or Lupo. They're cool cars, all reliable as hell, cheap, and gas misers. GM/Ford are scurrying to find some low-fuel alternatives, but Europe is full of them. But the American mindset is stuck. They like big safe cars that make them feel in command of the road. Boo soccer moms!
