Thanks!

Yep, I'm the very proud owner of a new Lanos sport. I couldn't afford a lanos anymore but this one was perfect so I sold my extra lung. I didn't even know they had made the Lanos in black until I saw this one and I've been keeping my eyes open for a very long time. The car is so perfect it even has the exact head unit I have in my Lacetti.

The cars getting a 2.0 (U20SED) swap right off the bat and possibly switching out the leather seats. Leather in AZ is like asking for 3rd degree burns, esp without A/C! Once I get a few more mods into the suspension, wheels/tires, and brakes over the next 6month to a year the cars going to be tracked monthly if not more.

Get rid of the seats! You'll get third degree burns anyway because the black injection molded plastic dashboard emits it's own heat waves, but the seats will OWN you around the track. I've been to one track day and I was sliding all over the place. I kept thinking that the car handled very poorly, but in fact, it was the seats that were causing me to slide all over the place.

It's my next mod too.

Yeah I can only imagine. Even with my aftermarket seats in my lacetti it's horrible. I can't even push the car cause I have to use all my strength to hold myself in place. It's actually really dangerous and they won't allow me to use a harness unless I have a full cage or am on the "approved list" which will never happen with a car like this. Oh and my seats have great support. I'm not sure you could get much better support without being a hassle to get out of and use as a DD

Lmao, a bra?

:p

What's a DD though?

Ans why wont they let you have harnessess without a rollcage? Seems like a ridiculous regulation to me..

Daily Driver.

It's not a totally pointless rule. With a harness if you were to roll over you're screwed...you can't duck down. They'll allow 4 points on cars without roll cages (or bars) but only a certain brand, and only if you're on the approved list which basically consists of the several most popular cars. I'd like to put a roll bar with removable harness bar in the Lacetti but can't afford it for along time.... after my Lanos is on it's feet with a few goodies it's about time I get a house and stop blowing so much money on toys. :(

It'd be okay to slow down a bit and learn how to drive some more if my car wasn't so damn fast on the road course. Slowing down to the point I'm not holding on with allot of strength to stay put isn't anywhere near my cars limits. With my really wide tires now I don't even know if I could keep enough heat in the tires to get a good feel of the cars characteristics. I don't want to track this car any longer than I have to though. Unless I start making enough money to where I won't cry myself to sleep for months if I crash it. I definitely, definitely want to compete in a few time trails though cause this car will blow so many peoples thoughts out of the water about cars like ours. Which is a big factor in putting so much work into it.

Lol, sorry I seen support and DD in one sentence and a pair of tits popped into my head lol. Daily driver makes much more sense.

And yeah i can see why they wouldn't now.. does make sense.

I don't wanna track my car either, it's only 130bhp [probably about 110 bhp now seeing as how old the engine is] and it's got a full interior.
Gonna keep it as standard as possible. As in not many crazy things, and by standard I mean standard Daewoo/Vauxhall stuff. Apart from maybe a black dash, the GTE seats is probably the most i'll to my interior that's worth talking about. I got my interior finished, and have all my spares tucked into the boot, awaiting me bringing it back to my house. It's still not running right though.. I'm afraid to go near it lol, could end up being a sticky valve or loosing compression and all i've got atm is a set of plug leads and plugs hoping it'll do the trick

Anyway, can't wait to see your lanos build thread.

Got the car. God damn I love how the lanos looks. There's already a good 40 hours worth of small mods like shaving things and painting things that I want too do. I can't beleive how low it is with only a 1.2" drop also. After I get new wheels/tires and look more into if I want a front lip then I'll figure out if I even want a 2.4" drop in the front but it's either than or 1.7". Knowing me, I'll probably do 2.4" and then wanna drop it even more after a few months.

I already got two 12" alpine type Rs (1500 watts ea) subs in a trade for some old beat up wheels I had. I just need an amp for them. I'm probably going to paint the wheels flat black too unless there's a desire for factory sport wheels. Depending on the fuel pump I might be putting a 55wet shot of nitrous in right after it's running too.

Any chance on selling me the exhaust? Huh? Huh?

LoL, take your time.

And the Lanos responds REALLY well to nitrous. You won't be dissappointed.

Yep probably. I may use it for awhile untill I can afford to build a new one. My friend just GAVE me new 1.6 heads and a D20 so if I can sell the lanos factory ones then I'll sell that exhaust ASAP.

That's really good to hear.

The short ratio transmission seems to drop into the sweet RPM range to utilize nitrous most efficiently. Just make sure you get a bottle heater to keep the pressure up. At 900 PSI, the small diameter of the low-hp (35) jet I had seriously impeded nitrous flow to the point where you couldn't feel the power.

Upgrading to 50 shot sorted everything out just fine.

Just hold TIGHT to the steering wheel in 1st and 2nd gear or you'll end up in the bushes.

It has a bottle heater too. I don't want the D16CR...it's too close for my liking. Well I like the first three gears but the last two are way too short. It tops out at like 130mph which I should hit easily without nitrous. Plus I'm wanting to make at least 150whp out of this motor without the nitrous so I don't know how reliable the D16 would be. I'm going to look into putting in a longer 5th gear on my new D20 since it's at 137mph at the sweet spot of the RPMs. I'd like to be at 150mph at 6k RPM or less

Really? It tops at 130 mph? On the highway I had it at 120 and it seemed it had a ways go to.
